* Celebrating 10 Years *

First of all, a big THANK YOU to all of those who have made the past 10 years possible here in Thailand.

Looking back over the past 10 years, we are still in awe in seeing how far we have come. It all started with our family of 4 (Pat, Debbie, Taryn and Josh) being willing to come to Thailand. From that point on, it's been the support of the people that have believed in us and our vision, and have prayed for us and shared their lives with us throughout this incredible journey that has allowed us to fulfill our vision. Living in a foreign land has been an adventure all in itself. We have grown from cleaning up an abandoned flooded home, building our new lives and relationships with the Thai people to a beautiful paradise of nearly 9 acres of land, raising 25 children, employing the local community as construction workers and hiring 4 of them as permanent helping hands for our growing family. We have 7 buildings which we have built and call home for our family and frequent visiting sponsors and teams. From starting a work, growing into an established ministry and into a foundation recognized by the government of Thailand, this has truly been the most awesome experience of our lives.

River of Life was established in 1998. Since then, we have been able to assist hundreds of children on a full time basis through our home, assisting orphans through our scholarship program and numerous outreaches to nearby villages. We are able to give these children a new life in every area: physically and spiritually.

Our heart is to raise up a new generation of children in Thailand. We believe the scriptures when it says to "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not turn from it."

We know that we would not be able to do the things that God has put in our hearts to do without your love and support. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for partnering with us to build the Kingdom of God in Thailand.

Our Kids

We have seen our kids grow in every area of their lives. We have seen their gifts and talents be discovered and blossom. We have seen them develop into young adults, currently preparing for University and future careers.

Below you will see the story of a couple of our kids.

Matao was brought into our home in 1999. He was 7 years old and had severe cerebal palsy and very little communication skills such as language. He wasn't able to take care of himself in any area. Through Matao's new life at River of Life Children's Home we have seen him learn to feed and bathe himself, sing and dance, ride a bicycle, and do a variety of household chores. His progress has been nothing short of a miracle and we continue to remain hopeful for Matao's future.

Jintana was brought into our home in 1998 as a very frightened and angry little 7 year old girl. Her father had abandoned her and her mother after she was born. The year we brought her into our home she had seen her mother die in an accident. After Jintana's mother died, she was living with an elderly sick grandfather who sent word for us and asked if we could help him with his granddaughter. Looking back from where Jintana started we have seen a beautiful flower blossom. Jintana is very intelligent, has a gift for teaching and enjoys music. She currently teaches 11 of our younger children here in our home weekly and I'm not sure who has more fun, her or the kids. Jintana is also studying English and French and dreams of traveling in other countries. Jintana is preparing to graduate Senior High School and will attend a nearby University. We look forward with great expectation to what all is in store for Jintana's upcoming future.

Ten years of serving in Thailand and the children we bring into our home has truly been an incredible journey. We remain committed to continue to serve and lead in every opportunity that we are given.

We would like to continue to provide more opportunities for our children in our home and our outreach programs. With your love and support we will truly see these children go out and help impact the country of Thailand.
