Our mission is to provide both children and others that are in need with better opportunities and futures so that they may become prosperous in their communities.

Our vision is for our home to be used as a base facility providing assistance in the areas of Leadership Training, Worship, Community Involvement, Local Outreaches, and Assisting long and short term teams and individuals with hearts to serve.

Our work with assisting and rescuing orphans here in Thailand have been the best years of our lives.

In March of 1998 we established RIVER OF LIFE CHILDREN'S HOME, in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Currently we have 23 children who have been given a new life and a home filled with Love. It's with your love, prayers, and financial support that we will continue to be able to rescue many more children from AIDS, prostitution and poverty.

Our family of 4 has grown into a loving family of 29 and we have finished building facilities that house these kids comfortably and provide some room for growth.

The orphans that we have had with us since starting our home have had life changing experiences and are very thankful for such a wonderful place to call home.

Many may wonder why Thailand has such a great need to provide assistance to the children. The poverty, drug addiction and the rapid increase of AIDS has left thousands of children without parents. In most of the cases that we see here, the remaining families are not able to provide the needed care for the victims, as they are suffering from the same problems.

The vision we have for Thailand, is to be an extension of the local community, networking together to provide a hope and a future for the children here in Thailand. There are several things on our heart to accomplish.

Our orphanage is not only a rescue center, but also a training center.

We firmly believe that by giving these orphans a new life and the proper training, that they will leave our home and make an important impact in Thailand. We are seeing great talents and abilities come from our children and we look forward with expectancy to see what all they will accomplish in their lifetime.

We currently have over 8 beautiful acres that enables us to offer endless opportunities for the children.

We have our own rice field, vegetable garden, fish pond and acres of fruit trees, so the children are enjoying a very healthy diet as well as learning agricultural and farming skills too. Our children also help with all the cooking and clean-up duties.

We also started a Scholarship Program in 2003. We are able to assist an additional 13 needy children outside of our home with full scholarships for their schooling, housing, meals and school supplies.

We know that we can not bring in every needy case, but having this new program, we are able to assist some of them and help provide a future for them. We hope to see this new program grow and provide for many more needy children.

We are very fortunate to have Pat as our leader as his teaching, mechanical and building abilities are a true gift. Debbie's the one who keeps everything organized and clean, and of course finds lots of time to love all the kids. Pat and Debbie have 2 awesome children of their own; Taryn 23 and Joshua 21 who have played a significant role in the start, development, and leadership of this home. Taryn is currently working in the states and Josh is in the states continuing his education.
